COlorado ADV Tour

THE 2026 MEMORIAL RIDE | September 13th-17th
Our annual group adventure motorcycle ride through some of the best areas in Colorado. This year we will travel clockwise from Salida - Creede - Silverton - Lake City - Taylor Park (Pending Lodging) - Salida. Lodging is prearranged. Also, this year Silver Hawk has graciously offered to provide some meals for the crew! There are plenty of different routes that each rider can choose depending on their abilities. We have a suggested route, but feel free to team up and take a different path. It looks like we will have 10 riders, 2 drivers, and 2 dogs. This is an unguided group ride, however we are all there together in case anything arises. All costs will be split evenly amongst the riders. I will let everyone know what they owe after the trip. In memory of all our past family, friends, and dogs. Salida Moto Banditos.
Saturday, September 12th | Day 0 — Happy hour at Salida River Adventures.
Bring your bike, tool kit, sweep kit, and bring some beers. We can sort out who is bringing what and get our basses covered. Pack light, but make sure you have the basics.
Sunday, September 13th | Day 1 — Salida to Creede (via Otto Meirs Toll Road, Utte Pass, La Garita Cutoff)
Meet at Salida River Adventures at 7:30am for an 8:30 departure. Ride up Silver Creek and over Otto Meirs toll road to Bonanza. Continue to Ute Pass which will bring you down to Hwy 114 just west of Saguache. Travel east on Hwy 114 for ~10 miles before turning left on to the La Garita Cutoff road. Travel over a few small passes before coming out at the base of Penitente. Play around in witches canyon before heading South to Del Norte. From Del Norte to Creede we can either continue to hit trails or hit pavement depending on time. We are staying at The Snowshoe Inn in Creede (same as last year). For dinner we will have a parking lot potluck and a great breakfast is included with our stay.
Monday, September 14th | Day 2 — Creede to Silverton (via Stoney Pass)
Depart Creede at ~9:00am for a great ride over Stoney Pass to Silverton. Lodging is again at the historic Avon Hotel. We will have access to their bar and full commercial kitchen that Hawk and team will utilize to prepare dinner and breakfast for the following day.
Tuesday, September 15th | Day 3 — The Alpine Loop: Silverton to Lake City (Cinnamon & Engineer Pass).
Depart Silverton at ~10:00am and make our way to Engineer Pass (12,966 ft) or Cinnamon Pass (12,630 ft) or make a day out of it and explore it all. Lodging is in Lake City at The Texan, where we have (2) riverfront cabins with kitchens.
Wednesday, September 16th | Day 4 — Lake City to Taylor Park (via Mill Creek Pass, Copetchopa basin, and Cumberline Pass)
Depart Lake City and make our way towards Mill Creek Pass. Continue through Copetchopa basin to Hwy 114. Make our way to Pitkin for a cold one at the Stumbin Moose before making our way over Cumberline pass to Tin Cup. If we have time check out the Alpine Tunnel
Thursday, September 17th | Day 5 — Taylor Park to Salida (via Cottonwood pass, Tin Cup Pass, Alpine Tunnel, and Hancock Pass)
Choose your adventure. The riding is endless. We will probably split into groups and take different routes home depending on difficulty preference.
